Keyboard and Mouse Recycling

How are Keyboards and Mice Recycled?

Keyboards and mice can often be reused; however, when they are no longer useable, the keyboards are sent to an innovative domestic facility in the United States where they are de-manufactured.

We are extremely pleased to be working with this processor because of their ability to efficiently dismantle the keyboards.

Most recyclers simply shred or bale and export their keyboards. Due to our vendor’s ability to dismantle the keyboards, there are many more uses for the recycled material. Some of the materials recovered from keyboards are plastic, rubber, wire, metal, and Mylar.

Mice are taken apart and recycled for their plastic, wire, and circuit boards when applicable.
